Packing list template
Download the TrimLoad template (Excel or CSV, metric or imperial), fill one line per box size, then paste or upload it — read exactly as written. Files made for EasyCargo, Cargo-Planner, CubeMaster and Goodloading are read too.
Fill one line per box size: what is in the boxes, how many, the size of one box and its weight. The columns are the ones the planner needs, with the unit in the column name. A filled template is read exactly as written — nothing to check or confirm — and the card says “Read as the TrimLoad template”.
Item
What to write: What is in the boxes — any text. One line per box size.
Qty (boxes)
What to write: How many boxes of this size — a whole number.
Length (cm)
What to write: Length of ONE box, in the unit in brackets.
Width (cm)
What to write: Width of one box.
Height (cm)
What to write: Height of one box, as it stands.
Weight per box (kg)
What to write: Gross weight of ONE box. Fill this or the line total — one of the two.
Line total weight (kg)
What to write: Gross weight of ALL boxes of the line, if you have that instead of the weight per box.
Keep upright
What to write: “yes”: the box always stands as listed. “no”: it may lie on its side. Empty: upright, unless “Keep upright” on the card is set to “marked items only”.
Don't stack on top
What to write: “yes”: nothing may rest on these boxes. Empty or “no”: they can carry other boxes.
Max layers
What to write: How many of these boxes may stand on each other — a whole number, 1 or more. Empty: no limit.
Floor only
What to write: “yes”: the box must stand on the floor. Empty or “no”: anywhere.
Group
What to write: Optional: an order, PO or consignee. Kept with the line on your list.
Send it
- Paste: select from the “Item” cell down to your last line, copy, and paste anywhere on the planner. Free, up to 15 lines, no sign-up.
- Upload: the .xlsx or .csv file itself, with Pass or Pro (“Upload file” next to the paste box).
- How big: Pass, Pro and Team plans take up to 200 lines and 10,000 boxes each, in up to 100 containers or trucks. A bigger list goes into two plans.
- Or type the lines yourself: “Type the lines yourself” on the planner opens an empty line.
Numbers
- Imperial template: inches and pounds. Metric: cm and kg. You may change the unit in a column name — “Length (mm)”, “Weight per box (lb)” — and it is read that way.
- Decimal point or comma both work (12.5 or 12,5). Leave out thousands separators: “1,250” on its own could be 1.25 or 1250, so the card asks which.
- Weight: per box, or the line total if that is what you have. Fill one of the two; if both are filled and they disagree, the card says so.
- Rule columns: “yes”, or leave empty. Max layers: a whole number from 1, or empty for no limit.
- The example row is never read as a line. A “Total” row you add is read as a total, not as cargo.
Files from other planners
A file made for another planner's import is read by that planner's own column names (taken from their public help pages). What the file itself states is read with no question; what their import screen decides instead is asked once.
EasyCargo
Read as written: Group, Description, Pieces, sizes and units (row under the names), Stackable N, Tiltable Y/N
Asked or named: Total weight per item or per line — asked unless the box weights decide; “Rotable: N” is named (TrimLoad may turn a box on the floor)
Cargo-Planner
Read as written: Item, sizes, Weight (per piece), Quantity, Stackable, Bottom Only, Tiltable, Layers, Consignment, units from “Length / Weight dimensions”
Asked or named: “Longship”, “Priority”, “Palletize” are named on the line, not applied
CubeMaster
Read as written: Group, Name, sizes, Weight, Qty, Orientations, FloorStackType 1, SupportsOthers, MaxLayer, MaxSupportingWeight
Asked or named: The unit (not in the file) — asked once; weight per piece or per line unless the box weights decide; Palletized, Seq and other settings are named
Goodloading
Read as written: CONFIG UNITS (cm / in), LOAD NAME, sizes, QUANTITY, STACKING (empty = nothing on top), STACK QUANTITY, MAX WEIGHT ON TOP, ROTATE FREELY
Asked or named: Weight per load or per line — asked unless the box weights decide; pipes and barrels are planned as the box around them; “ROTATE ON BASE: N” is named
